It has recently been announced that the Spanish Life Sciences Group, Telstar, has acquired
USIFROID - renowned for the continual development of GMP freeze-dryers for pharmaceutical and
biotechnology applications and many innovative achievements in this field since 1948 - most
notably for pioneering the use of liquid nitrogen (LN2) refrigeration technology in freeze drying
applications. Biopharma are pleased to confirm that the Usifroid brand and the Usifroid product
range will be retained in all markets.
The acquisition provides financial strength to Usifroid and guarantees the continuity and
development of its activities in the international market. Usifroid will continue to provide new
equipment under the Usifroid brand, with the specifications and features that have characterised
and defined Usifroid freeze dryers.
With the support of Biopharma Process Systems Ltd in the UK and Ireland, Usifroid will continue
to support its international client base from its French base with sales, design, support and
maintenance activities.
