Biopharma is pleased to unveil the next generation of lab-scale, bench-top freeze dryers - the VirTis AdVantage Plus.
The VirTis AdVantage has long been recognised for being the smallest shelf freeze-dryer available. Although designed for benchtop
use the AdVantage is packed with features including state-of-the-art controls and full shelf temperature control. But now the AdVantage
has evolved. With no increase in footprint the AdVantage Plus is available with up to 3 shelves, giving a maximum useable shelf area
of 0.27m2, condenser capacity of up to 6 litres and a low temperature of -85°C.
The shelves of the AdVantage Plus are silicone-cooled to maintain the kind of tight temperature normally found in production units.
Pneumatic stoppering is available as an option to easily seal 3 shelves of vials at any pre-determined chamber pressure via an inert
gas back-fill port. As with the single-shelf AdVantage, the AdVantage Plus has complete flexibility to process in bulk, vials or external
flasks using the side-mounted valves.
The AdVantage Plus features the powerful Wizard2.0 control system, which allows storage of up to 16 recipes each with multi-step freezing
and drying capability, alarms and diagnostics. Optional software allows the user the connect an external OC for improved data manipulation
and control and full historical trending.
